Andrea M. Davis, MSW, PsyD (ABD) (President)
Andrea holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Delaware State University. She completed her Master’s degree in Social Work at Widener University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Psychology with a specialization in Mental Health Administration from the University of the Rockies in Denver, Colorado and hopes to graduate in 2019. She will also pursue her Doctorate in Divinity. Andrea has 8+ years with the State of Delaware and she currently serves as a school social worker with the Caesar Rodney School District. She has 18+ years of experience and education working with women, children, and families in schools, homes, and communities. Her experience includes clinical and generalist social work. Andrea is the CEO and founder of Life Movement Empowering Ministries, L.L.C. LMEM, LLC serves to empower women, men, children, and families. Life Movement Empowering Ministries is a limited liability company created to provide supports to families or individuals that need help making effective changes in their lives amidst adversity. The main services of LMEM are educational counseling and consultation, mental health counseling and consultation, future transitional housing, and life coaching. Andrea believes and has learned that leadership is not who you are it is what you do. Influence is an important key to leadership. Working with the community, families, and different populations has inspired Andrea’s career and she hopes that she can in turn inspire others.
Dan Lerro (Vice President)
Dan Lerro currently serves as the pastor for teaching and administration of Trinity Church of Smyrna. Dan grew up in Syracuse, New York and remains a huge fan of the Orange. He earned his Master of Divinity from Virginia Beach Theological Seminary, and then moved to Delaware in 2007 as part of the Trinity Church planting team. At Trinity, Dan leads corporate worship, teaches regularly, and provides oversight to the church. He is married to Lindsey, and they have 3 kids: Sofia, Danny, and Judah.
Dion Williams (Treasurer)
Dion Williams is the President / CEO of Del-One Federal Credit Union. Del-One is a full service financial cooperative serving over 64,000 members with 10 branch locations throughout Delaware.With over 20 years in the credit union industry, Dion has long been an advocate for serving the under-served with affordable financial products and services. Examples of this philosophy in action at Del-One includes a pay day alternative loan program, fresh start loan to assist victims of domestic abuse, and the opportunity auto loan to assist consumers with credit blemishes on acquiring affordable transportation to get to and from work. In 2015, Del-One was presented with the Corporate Citizenship Award by the Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Also in 2015, the News Journal named Dion the mid-sized employer leader of the year. In addition to Grace for Dover, Dion current serves on the Delaware Supreme Court Board on Professional Responsibility, Greater Kent Committee, Delaware Tech Development Council, and the Delaware Tech Business Advisory Board. Prior to moving to Delaware in 2011, Dion served as President / CEO of Central Sunbelt Federal Credit Union in Laurel, Mississippi. Dion also served as a Deacon for First Presbyterian Church in Hattiesburg, MS. Dion has a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from Wake Forest University. In addition, Dion has been a Certified Financial Planner® since 2000. Dion lives in Camden-Wyoming with his wife Susan and three daughters, Reagan, Allie and Sydney.
Dr. Jonathan Seda
Senior Pastor of Grace Church since 1983, Jonathan has received degrees from Houghton College, Biblical Theological Seminary, and Covenant Theological Seminary. Serving on the Boards of Covenant Seminary, Young Life and Mosaix Global Network, Jonathan’s passion is for multi-ethnic, cross-cultural worship & ministry, not only at Grace Church, but also throughout his denomination and beyond. He has taught on the subject of worship in Mexico, Kenya & Ghana and is involved in the leadership & teaching ministry of Mosaix Global Network, a multi-ethnic, cross-cultural movement. Married to his wife Dale since 1975, he has four children and seven grandchildren.
Julie Lewicki, LCSW, RPT
Julie Lewicki is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist with over 25 years of clinical experience. She maintains a private practice in Dover where she specializes in treating children, adolescents and families. Julie has dedicated her career in focusing on children, especially children in foster care and those dealing with trauma. She utilizes play and expressive therapies to assist children who have been affected by abuse, loss, trauma and family issues. Julie is also certified in Parent Child Interaction Therapy and utilizes evidence based and trauma informed therapy programs.
She is actively involved in her church through several ministries: she is the Worship Leader of the Praise Team, director of the Children’s Choir, involved in VBS with drama and music and is on the Missions Team. Julie is married and has 2 children, Landon and Hadley.
Nick Alexander is a Financial Advisor with a degree in Finance from the University of Delaware. He has been in the financial services industry since 2007 and joined Merrill Lynch in 2015. Nick volunteers for the Delaware Financial Literacy Institute and was awarded the “Got Savings Star” in 2015 for his commitment to financial education. He lives in Dover with his wife, Priscilla and their children Niko and Christian.
Alison May became involved with Arise as a parent after her children began attending Embrace respite nights. Her son also now takes part in Embrace’s after school program.
She began her career as a newspaper reporter and editor before joining the Delaware Department of Education as its public information officer. She is an alumna of Pennsylvania State University, where she graduated with honors with undergraduate degrees in journalism, history and American studies. She later earned her Master of Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit management from the University of Delaware.
In addition to mentoring through her local school, Alison volunteers with the Delaware Governor’s Prayer Breakfast Committee and was appointed by Gov. John Carney as a parent representative on Delaware’s Interagency Coordinating Council.
Alison lives in Dover with her husband and two children.
